Antonio Olivieri

Antonio Olivieri, born in Italy, is a passionate music lover. Like an already heard story, it all began thanks to his parents, who made him study classical guitar for 12 years. Apart from this guided entry into the music world, Antonio enjoyed soon the taste of exploring music in an independent way, slowly leaving the classical repertoire for a more genuine and even immature try of autonomous composing. This need of action led him (by the late ..90ies) to an interesting dj-career and later on to the production of his first electronic tracks. Things turned out well and Antonio achieved to release 3 different vinyl records through the Italian major label Saifam Group. Unsigned works in these years were made at the Gasoline Studios in Milan. As proud creator of the artists collective “Stereo Pretzel”, he personally promoted electronic music and culture in Northern Italy until 2008.
Tired of the Italian music scene and the social and political situation, Antonio left Italy and his hometown by the end of 2007. Later, abandoning the idea of completing his engineering master studies, he moved from Munich to Berlin with only a suitcase, some ideas and the consciousness of finally being free from some brain schemes of the people who had surrounded him till then.
Fulfilling his philological view of the music business and the music itself, Antonio is exclusively performing live sets. Speaking of a purist in the genre, this turns into a groovy and melodic set, freely live managed in all of its parts and throughout the arrangement. For a genuine live-feeling.
During summer 2009, his open air live-sets pleased hundreds of music lovers in the city parks of Berlin, thanks to the “MusikBlitzKrieg” project. This consists of a completely autonomous music-machine on wheels. Pushing the MBK-box all the way through the city, Antonio was able to perform plenty of times on urban music stages, picking up party lovers, easy listeners, and enthusiastic followers.
