David Delgado is no new name in terms of DJing, having been behind the decks for over 10 years now in both his native Colombia and time spent in London. However with a move to Berlin in 2010, and a swift signing onto PLAYKULA agency, David has quickly proved himself as one to watch with consistently high quality performances across a range of gigs from Berlin favourites Watergate, Tresor, Arena Club, Bar25, Club der Visionäre and Wilde Renate, to further afield destinations such as Studio 80 Amsterdam, KlubD in Cyprus, Manchester’s Sankeys, Munich’s Chaca Chaca and Harry Klein, FLEX Vienna, EFFECTRIC Italy and Miami Festival as well as London’s The Key, Sosho, Public Life, 54, Aquarium and The Egg amongst others.David’s sets merge a weave of drawn out layered techy bass lines with a catchy overlying house groove perfect for the dance floor. He has a rocking energy to his club performances, keeping a consistent quality in his track selections. Earlier influences of Hip-Hop, Funk and Soul bring a certain swing to his crisp tech-house sets.

Working on a series of production projects at present, 2011 looks bright for this growing talent. We can expect upcoming releases from David himself to compliment past EPs on Siteholder UnCut and GHI, as well as projects such as the increasingly infamous R2D2 DJ and Production outfit alongside Red Robin and with Amsterdam’s Charles Davos. With new label WOX launching in 2011, showcasing the sexier side of dancefloor tech, the Delgado sound will be caressing ever more dancefloors these next months.
